The weather at El Chaltén is particularly variable, a day might begin with a shinning sun and two hours later walking is uncomfortable because of the patagonian winds and a while later you can be resting easily under the sun of a calm noon.
That is why we suggest you bring a good warm equipment but also clothes apt for the heat, not too heavy clothing so you can exchange it with ease during the tours.
As an example, do not forget to bring a wool or polar cap for he cold but also a sun cap, trekking pants, synthetic fabric coat that will dry quickly, good comfortable shoes for the mountain, several pairs of socks, sunglasses and sunscreen.
